An immersion in the heart of Istanbul

Excellent Hotel!
The quality of the rooms is top, breakfast also.
The staff is very friendly and available at all times.
The location is really great close to Yenikapi metro and tram T1 Istanbul University

Room and services are very good. But toilet floor was uneven need to be fix .overall every thing was good.

Dont get fooled with this hotels lower price. Its is awesome. Very conveniently located near 2 metro stations and the Tram. All the famous landmarks and attractions within 20-30 minutes ride. The best thing is their staff, super friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

well it is situated in the heart of old city and it is a 3* hotel and conditions of hotel in only for sleep. so don't expect the service to be good, you should expect the minimum of everything. you ca stay there but on your own responsibily

Unexpected bad experience

We chose the hotel because of it's central location, which was perfect to see the main sights in Sultanahmet. The surroundings were not the best and not the safest, especially during the night. The hotel from the outside looked nice, so did the hall. Unfortunately our room was not the best quality. The TV did not work at all, which the hotel staff tried to fix. 4 people entered our room but nobody knew the problem.
The next disappointment was the lack of bed linen.
The room looked at an inner yard of a locl house (see picture) where some building reconstruction was going on during the day (quite loud). We were promised to get a new room the next day but we found a very dirty towel among the clean ones on our bed and could not get any replacement of towels that night from reception.
Therefore we decided to leave the next day as all the rooms looked at the same inner yard.
The receptionist on the first day was really nice and helpful, he talked English very well.
However the receptionist on the day we left, when we ordered a taxi to take us to the new hotel, wanted to order a taxi for 150TL which at the end -after looking at taxi fare calculators on the internet -turned out to be 35TL. At the end he asked 65TL and requested us to give it to him in an envelope, then he gave the money to the driver when he arrived.
I would recommend spending just a bit more money on a 4-5*hotel in Istanbul which we ended up doing and rather enjoy the stay maybe a bit further outside the city centre but in a convenient room.
