Fantastic location

We stayed at Zeugma Hotel as a family of five. The service was genuinely kind and helpful, but the hotel itself is very dated and has several issues that future guests should be aware of.
Positives
• We were greeted warmly on arrival.
• Staff helped carry our luggage upstairs, which was appreciated since there is no elevator.
• A few days before check‑in, management called to explain that Trivago had incorrectly advertised our room as large enough for five people and with a sea view.
• They offered us an additional twin room free of charge, which was excellent service and very professional.
• Tea, coffee, and water were provided free of charge.
• Despite being located above an Irish bar, we were not disturbed by noise - even during the World Cup.
• The location is fantastic: 5 minutes to Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet Mosque.
Room & Cleanliness
The hotel is budget-friendly, but the rooms are very dated and need attention:
• The shower cabin was extremely small — you could barely move inside.
• Shower water was cold.
• The toilet was dirty upon arrival, which was disappointing.
• The ceiling had brown stains, giving the room a neglected feel.
• The hotel entrance is tucked beside an Irish bar, which may not suit everyone.
• No elevator, so carrying luggage upstairs is difficult without staff help.
Parking - There is no hotel parking, and we had to pay 1000 TL per day for nearby parking. This is important for anyone arriving by car.
Zeugma Hotel offers great service and an unbeatable location, but the building and rooms are old, dull, and in need of renovation. For a budget end (but not cheap) hotel, you generally get what you pay for - except the dirty toilet, which should never happen. If you prioritise location and friendly staff, it may work. If you want comfort, modern rooms, and proper cleanliness, you may want to consider other options in the area - there are plenty!

Dated small hotel

Dated hotel no elevator no reception small room with a joke of a veranda. No phone or tissues provided good location. Entry through a bar. I would not recommend!

Hotel located above a bar, bad experience.

This hotel is located above an Irish pub, I'm not kidding. You feel more like you're in a hostel with the Irish music from the bar being streamed. The rooms are mediocre and the bedding is very uncomfortable. Breakfast is really not good and it is a simple plate, identical every morning. No electrical outlets next to the bed, impossible to charge your phone while lying in bed, dirty room and little staff passage that we never see outside of the morning, bath towels sometimes for 2 or 3 days... No Welcoming Lobby or place to settle comfortably as I remind you, this hotel is located above a bar and so you go straight down from your room to the Irish bar. The only positive is the kindness of the morning staff who prepare breakfast, smile and sympathy are there every morning. Apart from this good point, it is a must-see hotel that does not have the characteristics of a 3-star.

Perfect location

The hotel is simple but very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, you can't get any closer to the sights!!
Great place to stay for a city trip to Istanbul if you're happy with simple accommodation. Many thanks to the team at Zeugma!!
