So I arrive at 12:05 midnight I arrive with a total including me three people and a 10 month old baby first question from the reception is how many guests do you have and I said three he says your reservation says two I say OK how can we handle this? He says pay €10 Or 500 lira I say OK can I have my family get in the room first because we’ve been walking around all day and we have a 10 month old baby he says OK gives me the key. I put the family in the room. When he sees my sister-in-law, the third guest he asked for passport I said OK I’ll go get it and at that point I was so relaxed. I had taken off my shoes and socks. Literally because I was so tired and I had to put them back on in order to go get the passport and the whole time while I was trying to put on my socks the The reception was yelling at me saying she cannot be in the room without a passport. You have to show me a passport or she cannot be in the room and I said, sir, I’m trying to put on my shoes stop yelling he says are you trying to play us are you thinking that you are smart or are you trying to lie to us and I said bro just chill out we are tired. we just want to figure this out with you. Give me a moment to breathe and I’ll give you what you want. He proceeds to stand over top of me and say she cannot be here without a passport. I said OK what you’re saying is it’s €10 for her to be there when I paid online €20 on Agoda so I’d rather just get another room and have my sister-in-law and wife and baby in one room and me in another but he just kept on yelling so I took my family and left. I placed them in a different hotel. I was leaving this hotel. He tells me that if I want, I can cancel and that he would accept the cancellation when I looked on Agoda. It said the cancellation will not be accepted and I would have to reach out to the Hotel to get the cancellation After reading that I left my family at the second hotel and went back to this hotel to find the man is not there no more and it was just a young boy, and when they were a young boy Tells me that my reservation has been canceled by previous reception man. Quickly he gets on the phone with that same man and starts talking Turkish and then tells me oh it’s OK just go to the room. Everything is fine. We don’t need your passport anymore. Your reservation hasn’t been canceled so who was playing Who in the end of all this The worst reception I’ve ever had in my life and mind you it was at midnight after we walked around all day in Istanbul and I had a 10 month old baby with us.. The reception guy did not ask if I wanted tea or coffee or water or nothing. When I came back the second time the young boy there asked the very first thing was, sir. Would you like to have some coffee or tea if it wasn’t for that young boy, I would say this place is worst. Worst worst reception I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve traveled to 25 countries now I highly highly.Do not recommend this place. And it’s too bad because the hotel was actually nice inside Except for the bathroom, not draining the water when I showered. He literally yelled at me for about 10 minutes straight saying that I was a liar, a cheater, and I was playing him. He kept asking questions and then cutting me off and then telling me why am I yelling and that I needed to respect other guests when he was the one who was doing all the yelling. It must just be him thinking everybody is a liar
