We arrived late in the night and the staff actually picked calls to give us directions and we find the person we had been talking to waiting for us at the entrance. The check-in was smooth.
We had challenges with the water heaters on day one, however, when we reported to the staff, they rectified the issue.
They have "Katogo" and "Chapati" as options for breakfast. If you are Ugandan you know what that means.
The rooms were clean, very spacious and comfy. The gardens are beautiful, and GREEN!
They also have cottages if one does not want to stay at the main hotel.
All in all, great value for money.

We loved staying at Asamar Country Resort, and the staff was hopeful. It’s in a quiet area about 10 minutes away from downtown Mbarara

confortable place to stay.

A quiet place for the peace lovers, luxury rooms and the friendly staffs, nice food and the beautiful gardens that had quite a number of fruit trees, I enjoyed the mangoes. cant wait to visit asamar again.

Lovely place with great hospitality

Hotel is very beautiful, looks very posh, rooms are very nice, neat and clean.Breakfast is very tasty with multiple options. Food ordered at room was also very tasty however potion sizes were small. Our room had great view from balcony. Overall a memorable stay at Asamar.

Unique setting with a touch of country sounds!

The resort hotel is set back off the main road which is nice since the main road traffic is heavy. The hotel is in a huge expansion right across from the restaurant and cottages. Each cottage is named after a planet. Ours was Jupiter and very nice with a king sized bed.The cottages offer privacy with lush greenery surrounding each one. A funny--I could hear the cow and rooster very plainly behind the cottage--but that's Uganda and part of the unique experience of the country. Breakfast was included in the price and if you wanted room service it was included in the price. The night we registered they asked what time we would like breakfast and they were there promptly at that time,The breakfast was very good and you had a choice from a menu.The fruit of course, is fresh and delicious. We had arrived in the evening and were not able to take advantage of the walk around the grounds (my husband was not feeling well). What we were able to see was very nice. You can eat outside in a patio area and it was well landscaped or in the small restaurant. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The food was very good but for some reason beyond our waitress's control it took a long time. If you want your salad before or with your meal you will have to ask for that accommodation. For American pricing the resort was very budget friendly.
