Brilliant- Under new management and we can not fault them

What can I say. We stayed for 10nights from 15th August 2026.
The Hotel is now under new management Kyle & Charlie
We can not fault one thing at all, our number 1 hotel. It is the first time we have stayed at the hotel and we were a little worried because the bookings seemed messed up BUT this was no fault of Kyle & Charlie and everything was sorted and fine, they are really welcoming and are happy to chat. We were out of every day but when we came back we had a drink in the bar.
The hotel is lovely and clean, breakfast was yummy and they had good selection and our room was a good size our other was slightly smaller but it was fine and it only somewhere to put our heads.
We have already booked again and we can’t wait to come back! Kyle, Charlie Thank so much! You went above and beyond we didn’t want to come home this morning

Avoid as not as described or genuine people

Arrived 7th August 2026 4 adult with 2 rooms booked. On entering was asked why we were there as rooms had been cancelled. I had no notifivation. Now know this was the owner. He sorted us a family room even after saying they had no rooms. He agreed to redund for the 2nd room. Top floor a 4ft double and a set of bunk beds. Not ideal but better than nothing. En suite had blood on the tiles, in the shower and the front plynth. Mold and dirt around the shower an water left in the kettle from others. Towels were a disgusting grey and like card board. New manager arrived Saturday, seemed like a nice guy and agreed should have a refund and seemed genuinely disgusted by the room, filth, towels and blood!! Provided an extra fan as the room was like an oven. On check out, gave me his number so i could check about the refund was being done. Having made contact i have had no reply at all. He asked if we would give them a chance and come back. I said yes if i get the refund and there be no issues in December when we will be back. I/WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING. TO IGNORE PEOPLE IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. DONT SAY THINGS IF YOU DONT MEAN THEM. THIS IS NOW IN THE HANDS OF MY CARD COMPANY.

Lovely hotel!

Fantastic stay! The location near Central Pier is ideal, and the hotel is under new management, so don't let the older reviews discourage you. The room was spotless, the beds were extremely comfortable, and there was a great selection of TV channels. Even though I had to cut my trip short by a day due to personal reasons, I had a wonderful experience overall. Thank you!

Very disappointing — be extremely careful when booking

I would strongly advise anyone considering booking this guest house to be very careful.
We arrived expecting to check into our booked room, only to discover that the hotel had cancelled our reservation. They told us they had sent us a message about the cancellation. When I checked, I found that an email had indeed been sent just four hours before our arrival, while we were travelling and therefore had no reasonable opportunity to see it.
What concerned me even more was that we were not the only guests affected. Other guests had also apparently had their bookings cancelled, with some being moved to alternative accommodation. Looking at other reviews, this does not appear to be an isolated incident.
We were told that we would receive a refund directly from the hotel. However, this did not happen. I followed up with them and received no response, leaving me with no choice but to raise a formal complaint with Agoda.
Thankfully, Agoda intervened and issued the refund.
The whole experience was extremely stressful and disappointing, particularly arriving at a hotel expecting a room that you have already booked, only to find that the booking has been cancelled at very short notice.
My advice is to think very carefully before booking this property and to read the recent reviews carefully. Based on our experience and the experiences described by other guests, I would not feel confident booking here again.

Lovely comfortable wee hotel.

Had a pleasant stay,was very clean and comfortable, Kyle and Charlie are doing a great job all the best to you both.
