Loved it

Just back from our 4th stay this year at this hotel. We were in an explore room with great views for people watching. Room itself was spotless and having stayed previously in the older style rooms the refurbishment is lovely.
All staff are very friendly, professional and nothings too much hassle.
The location of the hotels ideal for the main shopping area.

Dream stay

Fantastic overnight stay at the Carlton George Glasgow! We stayed in a ‘Dream’ room, and a dream it was! Massive comfortable bed and bedding, awesome bathroom (still missing the rainfall shower now we are home!), lovely and plentiful toiletries, spacious and very clean room, complimentary minibar (drinks and snacks), a coffee machine (could have done with a decaf pod, but didn’t ask so may well be available), and topped off with a great breakfast with a view up on the 7th floor (gluten free well catered for). Staff very friendly and helpful throughout. We were able to leave bags ahead of check in and then check in early (for a fee), which was much appreciated, and check out was late if needed. Excellent location in city centre - walking distance to restaurants and shops. Couldn’t be happier with the stay - will recommend to all and definitely return if we are back in Glasgow. Hotel is in a perfect location with easy access to transport. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. We'll definitely stay at the Carlton George next time in Glasgow!!

Second visit, great location

Second visit. Great licatiin as 2 minute walk from Queen Street Station. Stayed last year for our anniversary so thought we’d return again to see the upgrade. Hotel room was lovely. Very modern. Booked an explorer room with a balcony which was nice to sit in the sun however the furniture was very rusty and needs replaced. Complimentary minibar was disappointing as 2 cans of gin both with tonic which I don’t like (hubby enjoyed them though) and 2 bottles of lager, no wine or Prosecco. I preferred the decanters that we had last year. Also disappointed that there’s no club lounge anymore. We really enjoyed that last year.
The restaurant and reception area have still to be refurbished but getting done at some point this year.
Good choice for breakfast. All staff very welcoming. We’ll probably book again for our anniversary next year to see the completion.

In perfect location, in city center. 2 min from train station and 2 min from metro.
New rooms, recently refurbished. Quiet, clean and modern.
Would stay again in a heartbeat.
