Beautiful views with golden sunsets.

Stunning 1000 year old original building beautifully restored into apartments with incredible history.
Awesome views on the bay, with fabulous sunsets.
The apartments include washing machines and smart TVs. Good WiFi.
We really enjoyed our 3 night stay, locals walks and can’t wait to return.

Wonderful stay !

Just returned home after a wonderful stay at Dolphin Bay , accommodation first class and views amazing, we were on first floor no 2 ,
Paul was very welcoming and nothing seemed to be any bother to him , he has a wealth of Knowledge on the area ,
Sally keeps the apartments spotless and homely with a nice welcome tray , we will definitely be back , thanks again to you both ,

Amazing

These apartments are amazing . They have everything you need for an excellent stay.The owners can’t do enough for you. Paul is so helpful. The ground floor is brilliant if you have mobility issues. The rooms are spacious and well laid out . They are light bright and airy . It really is like home from home . The views are stunning. We saw dolphins at a beach a little ways down the road. There was a fairy forest to visit. Fort George is close to visit. Hope to go back soon

Perfect, tranquil spot

Booking process and welcome by Paul was exemplary. It's clear to see that Paul is an experienced hotelier and very skilled at making sure you have all you need on your holiday.
The apartment was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. We stayed in room 8 and enjoyed superb views of the Moray Firth toward the Black Isle. There was milk, coffee and tea and Tunnocks tea cakes in our welcome pack, a kind thought.
Ardessier (Ar-dess-ier) is a small village but does have some amenities, we found the R.S McColl shop very handy. There are two pubs - one that has wood fired pizzas on Friday night. There is a fish and chip van that calls on a Tuesday - it must be ok as the locals were tucking in their takeaway on the picnic tables at the bay.
The bay itself is 2.5 k long with a flat wide path alongside the beach. Good for a morning or evening stroll. There are a variety of seabirds, including Razor Bills, Curlew, Oystercatchers and Black Guillemot, and one of our neighbours had spotted an otter!
The Dolphins were showing at Chanonry Point on the Black Isle and the best time is between an hour before high tide and two hours after high tide.. It's a Pay and Display site and busy so get there in plenty of time. There is a nice bakery in Fortrose a little further on towards Cromarty and a great like cafe that serves good meals at Rosemarkie.
Other things worth seeing, the beach at Nairn (good beach cafe that serves things like Thai fish soup!) Cawdor Castle (lovely gardens) Culloden Battlefield and little harbours such as Burghead (the Bothy is a great restaurant). We missed out on Findhorn and a whiskey tour. Next time!
We drove around Loch Ness, and no doubt it's impressive, our tip is to do it by boat. You don't see much by car, it's just a green tunnel! Uruqhart Castle is worth a visit.

5 night break

Was fortunate to find DBS after we were double booked elsewhere. So glad we did as our Mon to Sat stay in apt 9 was an absolute treat. The accommodation was ideal for a couple and the location is perfect to use as a base for exploring Inverness/ Black Isle/ Moray coast. The view from the balcony and gable window were constantly changing and never disappointed. The apt was clean and well appointed. the only minor niggle was the fridge being small and floor level. But overall we could not fault the DBS and would thoroughly recommend it!
