London break

This place is great. OK on the negative the decor is a bit haphazard, suggest maintenance paint who.e section not just a scuffed bit. Our room was a bit small, but a balcony in central London at the price we paid, I'm not complaining. To those that m9an, don't, this is a well ranbclean and looked after hotel and it is one I would certainly consider using again.

Awful

Outside and reception area and lounge are impressive, but upon what I thought was an Executive Room was far from it and nothing like the pics online. Not clean, the following morning just about to head for breakfast before doing the London Marathon i was informed there was no breakfast as kitchen being renovated, this was not communicated at check in. Staff weren't very helpful. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go again.

ok for overnight stay.....

I will try to give my honest opinion about this hotel... we stay in hotels for at least 5 months per year..... mostly 4 and 5 stars but also plenty of three stars....the location was great for Notting Hill and Portobello Rd....where we wanted to visit....the neighborhood is lovely with loads of coffee shops and cafes....the small reception area was nice with a free coffee machine...the hotel was very quiet at night.....we opted for an executive room.....tiny... tiny....the room was mostly clean and the linens were all white...the bed was absolutely awful....the furniture needs to be replaced....all chipped and stained... the drapes were full of white stains?????? disgusting...... it could really be a wonderful small hotel if some $$$ was put into furniture... the bathroom was surprisingly nice...large shower....small but clean.....soap, shampoo and body wash was available in room....no hairdryer...kettle needs a good cleaning...cups,coffer,milk and tea in room..no breakfast is available.... staff were helpful.... if you don't expect too much it is fine for an overnight....

Mediocre, avoid it.

Avoid at all costs. It feels like the hotel wants to go out of business.
Dirty room and bathroom. Disinterested staff, you feel like you are bothering them more than anything else. Not a warm welcome at all.
They state on their website that they can organize the transfer to the airport for us, but in fact that is false, "we stopped doing that," and they do not try for a second to help you.
The day before our departure, the only person present indicated that we could leave our luggage between the time we had to check out of the room and the time of our departure for the airport, but the next day, it was not the same person and this one refused and told us "if you are not happy, it is the same," true story!
I travel a lot and I have never seen this in a hotel that claims 4 stars and which is therefore very expensive for what it is.
We were there in the month of July, it was very hot, no A/C, room facing west and fans from another era that were not very useful.
In short, avoid at all costs.

The room seemed clean at first, no bed bugs or anything, but when i looked under the bed it was full of dust and garbage from other guests, the walls in the bathroom were dirty, and overall it didn't feel very sanitary. There was no air-conditioning in the room, just a cooling fan. Horrible during a heatwave, and even when it got cooler outside, the room was still uncomfortably warm. Tried opening the window as much as possible to air out, but no luck. There was no private balcony either, even though it says so here at hotels.com. I checked the New Linden's own website and apparently there's only one room type with balcony, not all.
Lastly l put "Do Not Disturb" on my door, jet housekeeping would come by every day, knocking, in the morning.
Do not recommend, and will not stay here again.
