Lovely hotel. Steps leading to our room wasn’t very good as I’m disabled it made difficult to get up and down. We got to breakfast after 8.30 and it tested like it been there for a while. But I would definitely stay here again and just go for the continental breakfast.

When I book this hotel, I wanted room 20 which was a room that I’ve stayed in before. They couldn’t guarantee it but said there’s a 95% chance that would be okay. I could have that room ..I said if there’s any chance that I can’t have that room. I do not want a room that opens up onto the drinks patio. I said I would rather not stay there and have one of them rooms.. I couldn’t explain enough how that would not be a I couldn’t explain enough how that would not be an option for me…There are four rooms where the patio doors open directly onto the drinks patio ..well that was the room I got I was absolutely fuming. I said if I want a refund to move to another hotel is it possible? to the reply ofyou’d have to go through Expedia? I can’t say how angry I was ..when we got in our room right outside our patio doors were couple drinking. Absolutely despicable I hope that I can add some photos to this. To be honest. Most of the staff were-helpful apart from the one who took my booking, but there’s only ever one member of staff there-during any day. outside on the patio cushions are left for the three days we were there in the rain. The tables were rusty. The windows were rotten and in the photo that you will see the romantic lighting on the patio an absolute joke…!! my bathroom in my newly renovated room ..!!…the sink had a crack in it .. the radiator taps were rotten I could go on but you can see how angry I was. .. I would never stay there again..!!

There was no air conditioning in the room. Only a very small fan, which barely touched the sides.

The hotel is in a gorgeous setting
Plenty of car parking
Speedy check in
Breakfast good but expensive for you get
We stayed in a room with a balcony but didn't realise the balcony was shared with 3 other rooms,
Our bathroom blind most certainly needed a very good clean. It was horrendous and the dust when I shut it to use the bathroom as the bathroom over looks the car park was extremely dirty, the rooms could do with a bit of TLC but it did the job.

The location on the banks of the Thames and within walking distance of the High Street shops was great but I would suggest you arrive close to the check-in time as you may struggle to find a parking space, particularly if other guests have no idea how to park their wide bodied vehicles or ignore the disabled parking markings - though to be fair they do need to be re-painted so it can be seen.
Arriving late-ish we had to wait to check in as the staff member was covering both the bar and reception. Once in the family room we found it be spacious with 2 single and 1 double bed and the bath and shower met our needs after a hot day walking in nearby Painshill (reccomended) and Walton on Thames.
We had brought our own food so cannot comment on the breakfast or dinner which can be booked.
