Family of 6 visit
We had a great visit to Legoland, despite the heatwave!
Positives
So much for family of all ages!
Ticket price is good value for money when using club card.
Great staff
The birthday board and badge are a nice touch.
Room for improvement
Some of the queues were totally exposed in the 35 degree heat, especially the DUPLO coaster which I couldn’t make my children stand in for 25+ mins.
The interactive app map didn’t seem to show all rides which was a pain.
We got stuck on our second ride of the day (Ninjago) for over 20 mins and the staff were wonderful but we weren’t offered anything in compensation (I.e. fast pass) for the lost time which I thought was a bit rubbish.
The queues on our second day were just mad in the heat and we ended up missing out on a lot of rides, I think if the number of visitors needs to be reduced in that heat.

First time visitor
First time visiting and staying over and we was not let down at all. We’ve had 5 day haven holidays and 5 day centre parcs holidays and the 2 days and overnight at Legoland TOPPED. Them all, our 7 year old didn’t want leave. Personally I’m no fan of the easy access ( cut the queue ) tickets as the pressure I watched your staff deal with was not pleasant with people thinking they were “ entitled” with said ticket. But I’m happy to share my views with you personally.
You HAVE to stay in a woodland lodge too WOW they are something else. Thank you for a wonderful 2 days

An average experience charging luxury prices
Good location with easy access to the park. A family friendly atmosphere so a bit loud at times but nothing out of the ordinary and to be expected. The rooms are fine but I think the rooms at Alton Towers are better themed. All of these places are overcharging for an experience but I don't feel like you get the guest treatment, the perks or the sense of specialness from Legoland. The breakfast is fine and is included in the price. DO NOT go to the Bricks Family Restaurant for the evening buffet. £91 for a family of 2 adults, 2 children. Blatant profiteering at its worst. The selection is neither varied enough nor of a high enough quality to justify the price.
Service is generally good but some staff look confused and drained by it all. They spend a lot of time apologising but no actual answers for dealing with things. They are polite though.
The pool was closed and has been for a while. Of course, no alternative offered and no reduction in prices. Merlin don't care enough and have it covered in their terms and conditions.
The playroom is lovely - it's probably the star of this hotel. The entertainment in the evening was pathetic. So boring with staff clearly going through the motions.
Overall, for the prices being charged this hotel is distinctly average and the experience isn't what it should be. But I guarantee, nobody from Merlin is listening.

Not what I expected from LEGOLAND Windsor
We came to LEGOLAND Windsor as a family for what was meant to be a very special trip. Unfortunately, the experience was not quite what I had expected from a park carrying the LEGO name.
The biggest problem, by far, is cleanliness. This is not a case of finding one or two untidy corners on a busy day. During our visit, I honestly could not find a single area of the park that I would describe as genuinely clean. Wherever you look, there is something: an empty bottle, a cigarette butt, a wooden fork, a wrapper, a label or some other piece of rubbish. It is constant.
At one point, while simply standing in the queue for a ride, I took a 360-degree video around me. Without moving from the spot, rubbish could be seen in almost every direction. That gives a fairly accurate idea of the general condition of the park.
What makes it even more disappointing is that this does not appear to be simply the result of a particularly busy day. There are areas where the lack of cleaning and maintenance is clearly much more longstanding. We saw cobwebs covered in so much dust that they had obviously been there for a considerable amount of time. Paint is peeling or faded in many places, metalwork shows signs of corrosion, and several areas simply look tired and neglected.
For a park carrying the LEGO name, and particularly one aimed so strongly at families and young children, I find this very difficult to understand.
Unfortunately, the same feeling continued at the hotel. We stayed in one of the Pirate rooms, and the original design is genuinely charming. You can easily imagine how impressive these rooms must have been when they were new. But they are now showing their age badly. There were damaged corners, marks and pencil on the walls, and a general feeling that the room had been used heavily without receiving the maintenance it deserved.
The level of service was also surprisingly limited. There is effectively no traditional hotel reception, with the operation relying mainly on a concierge-type service. For a resort hotel at this price point, that felt particularly strange.
This is perhaps what makes the whole experience so frustrating. The fundamental product is excellent. The LEGO concept is wonderful, the park has enormous potential, and there are many details that children can genuinely enjoy. But it feels as though the physical environment has been allowed to deteriorate around that concept.
We did not arrive looking for faults. Quite the opposite: this was supposed to be a very special family visit, and we wanted to love the place. Instead, the overwhelming impression we are taking away is of a park that urgently needs much more attention to cleanliness, maintenance and basic upkeep.
For the prices charged, and for a destination carrying the LEGO name, I expected considerably better.

Nice themepark but expensive and very long waiting times!
Lets start with the positive, we stayed in the castle hotel which is nicely done! Nice theme and lovely rooms breakfast was simple but ok, be on time to make your reservation. Diner was also fine (tournament tavern) but expensive.
The park itself is relatively simple, nicely decorated and attractions are for small ages fine. 8 and up a lot of rides are really (too) simple. Don’t expect any major rollercoasters or rides. But the biggest let down where the queues… maybe we went in the wrong period but it was extremely busy and very long waiting times even for the most simple rides, also a lot of people pay extra for the fast track which is as well ridiculous expensive (as almost anything on the park, food, drinks etc.) and make the normal queue even longer.
Won’t be doing that again.
