Great “small scale” hotel with top breakfast!
Top breakfast with wide choice of local toppings and different breads, fresh fruit juice.
Quietly located in side street, close to the park, Kursaal, dike, beach and shopping area.
Friendly staff, friendly staff. Free filtered (fizzy) water vending machine à volonté at reception.
Clean large room, booked a double bed (according to availability) with lovely mattresses, but still a minus the 2 too narrow mattresses of approx 70 cm.
The shower head also did not fit in the shower rod holder so the head turned in all directions during the shower.
Will definitely come back here at a next night in Ostend.

A horror trip of a very special kind
I booked to unwind for a few days, but I ended up in a truly terrible hotel where nothing is right.
1. Rooms were swapped because they are obviously unable to issue room keys properly. And then, as a guest, you are blamed instead of receiving an apology. You are then rushed to pack your things so quickly that some items got broken. They even go through personal belongings because you are not packing quickly enough.
2. It stinks
3. Mattresses so soft that I have serious problems with my chronic back issues, plus a small pillow like a sofa cushion.
4. No air conditioning; there is only a broken and dusty fan while the room is hellishly hot. Even when it noticeably cooled down, the room remained unbearably warm because the air cannot circulate. The curtains must be closed; otherwise, one lies on the presentation tray. There isn't even a proper blanket, just thick blankets.
5. Thumping bass and loud music all the time; sleep is out of the question. Closing the windows is also not an option due to the aforementioned reasons.
6. Dirty, old furniture, torn and loose joints, the shower fixture gets extremely hot.
7. No outlet by the bed; there are three on the floor next to the disgusting refrigerator. With a standard cable, one can hardly use the phone while charging; otherwise, the cable pulls out of the outlet.
8. No bathroom door.
9. No contact person on-site at night.
10. Drunk people in front of the window, which cannot be closed due to the smell and heat.
11. Noisy men in the stairwell at night when no staff is in the building, which is particularly dangerous and additionally causes noise; it seems that smoking is also happening in one of the rooms. At least it smells that way; perhaps right in front of the entrance, which then drifts into the rooms.
12. Despite the "do not disturb" sign, the cleaning team knocks, especially great for bathrooms without doors shortly after 10:00 AM in the morning.
13. No toothbrush cups.
14. All room doors are open while housekeeping is on the floor. Anyone can then enter the room at will. There is no safe. Outside, a sign invites visitors to the bar even if they are not hotel guests. Great!
15. No protection against mosquitoes is possible; the window, as mentioned multiple times, must be open. No anti-mosquito fragrances or screens.
17. Construction site in front of the house, noise starting at 7:00 AM. If one eventually falls asleep from sheer exhaustion, the night is then over early. No information about this at the time of booking.
Unfortunately, everything else was fully booked; otherwise, I would have switched hotels right after the issue with the cards. My health problems have significantly worsened: heart palpitations, constant migraines, and back pain. I had to change my plans on the second to last day and lie down in the afternoon because I could no longer cope due to lack of sleep. However, it is still reported to the customer service of the well-known hotel booking platform.
Honestly, to offer something so pathetic for this price is brazen and absolutely unacceptable. The mere fact that they are unable to issue the room keys correctly and do not even apologize appropriately, while speaking to me in a language I do not understand and rushing me, was utterly disgraceful. Additionally, these absolutely pathetic rooms. I have stayed in countless hotels around the world and always strive to evaluate fairly in their respective categories, but here it is impossible to rate even fairly. That they are not ashamed of such behavior. I really never write bad reviews when mistakes happen or something does not meet my expectations, but here I cannot find anything good, nor overlook all the bad things. The whole thing then cost over €340 for 3 nights - I will just leave it at that.

Spacious room
The room was spacious, two separate parent/child rooms.
It was also very clean.
On the other hand, carpeting is not very hygienic especially with allergies.
In the morning it is quite noisy, you can hear the comings and goings of the staff from 6:30.
Breakfast in buffet form is very plentiful, there is something for everyone.
The hotel is well located, in the center of Ostend, the beach is nearby.
However, there is no parking.
It was also very clean.

Quiet little hotel with great breakfast
Well located in hotel in the center of Ostend within walking distance of beach, shops and restaurants. Bathroom rather small and some small technical problems in the room, otherwise OK.

Great hotel with top breakfast!
Excellent location, near the dike and eateries. Spacious rooms, very clean and practical. We had a view of a courtyard. Good beds and quiet hotel. Fine so to sleep. Free drinking water à volonté. Breakfast is an absolute hit! So much choice, something for everyone: sweet, savory. And on top of that, friendly staff. An address to remember.
