That’s it
If you’re looking for a cheap accommodation for the night, that’s the place, but there is no clear information how to get there, the receptionist doesn’t care about giving you tips about where to eat, and you’ll be starving if you arrive after midnight. The room was pretty much ok, but it looks like they don’t change the bed linen from one guest to another.

Actual crooks
Absolutely appalling "customer service" from this crooked owner and his friend at the Bistro downstairs. Do not stay here, it is not even worth it for the convenience of being next to the bus station.
We arrived on a late bus (the only bus) from Albania at 3am and confirmed twice in advance that we would be able to get into our room at this time. When we arrived, the room was locked and there is no one to talk to. We were told they generally keep keys for guests downstairs in the Bistro, so we went downstairs to check it out but it was all closed.
We briefly got through to the owner via a phone number, but he quickly hung up and refused to take any further calls from us. He claimed he was 500km away and didn't know if we'd be able to stay there that night.
It was a Saturday night and every other hotel nearby was booked up or not open. After waiting on hold with Booking.com, they were finally able to get through to him and said someone had come and opened the door to our room around 5am.
The room itself was disgusting. I am pretty easy going about dingy hotel rooms, but the towels smelled sour, the comforter was just a comforter cover, a few of the pillows didn't have pillow cases on them and ants everywhere. For being up on the second level, I wouldn't have expected so many ants but they were crawling on me.
When I made a complaint to the owner and asked about a refund given the entire situation, suddenly 2 men from the Bisto downstairs were banging on my room door demanding my passport since they want to "call the police" for breaking and entering the night before?? There was no breaking and entering? We tried to get into our room and couldn't.
When I asked the hotel staff to put me on the phone with their boss he was incredibly condescending and rude.
We left immediately since we didn't feel safe anymore and these crooks kept our money.

Terrible and ignorant
Absolutely shocking customer service. Our coach back from Split was delayed which meant that we would arrive into Dubrovnik past the latest check in time (10pm) we tried to call, email and message them on booking.com to ask them if we could on this occasion check in later or cancel for free as it was through no fault of our own. They did not answer any of these messages or calls which meant we arrived to Dubrovnik with no where to stay late at night, as two young girls, having already paid for this accomodation so then had to try to find and pay for another hotel. They left us stranded and did not even care to respond. Even days later they advised booking.com that we ‘did not show’ but still did not respond to us in any way or offer a refund. This was probably a blessing in disguise however having since seen reviews of cockroaches in the rooms! do not book here.

Good for an overnight while in transit
A place to lay your head for a night, close to bus station and close to port with perfect access to the city bus network. Very basic accommodation but was clean and functional. We only slept here and that's about all you would want to do.

Horrible and depressing
We booked this for one night as we needed a place to stay from 10pm when we got off the catamaran from one of the islands until 8am the next morning when we went to pick up a hire car. I am so glad that we were not staying there any longer!!. I know you can not expect much for the price they charge but there is no excuse for a dirty bathroom! There were hairs across the toilet seat on arrival and it was generally very run down. The room itself was dark and depressing with a bar window overlooking some stone steps down the side of the building. The cruise ships are very close by and you can also smell sewage! I did not want to lie on the bed and the sheets and bed covers were made of polyester. Be warned as there are also cockroaches in the building; there was a large squashed one outside our room. On a positive note, the man who showed us the room and gave us the key was very friendly. There is a very nice cafe downstairs and the people there were extremely friendly and helpful.
