We were 2 cyclists on bikingman corsica. Need a room at the last moment before the last 200 km of the race to rest!

Awesome !!!

While passing through the village of Zicavo we booked in this nice little hotel.... Warm welcome from Marie the owner, small, simple room but impeccable cleanliness... As for the delicious home-cooked meal, let's not talk about it, a real treat.. . we love these authentic places without fuss.... the real Corsica as we like it

Zicavo Had Better Days

Multi story and made of stone, the buildings in Zicavo reflect its more prosperous times. Why this is not more of a destination is a bit of a mystery. We stopped in Zicavo because we are more than middle aged bikers who could not make it to the next town.
The staff of the Hotel are lovable, but the rooms are not.
Breakfast is croissants and a bit of fig jam.

Authentic Corsican family run hotel

Friendly family run hotel, which is a bit run down at the edges. Four stars for service and friendliness, but three stars for the tired rooms. Our shower doors were both broken, and the tile work in the bathroom was in need of repair. Being an old hotel, the sound proofing is not there. When others are awake, so are you.
We tried to get our evening meal as vegetarian, but despite their assurances, the tabouleh/couscous salad was still served with tuna. Still, we enjoyed the Corsican lasagne and the chestnut cake. Breakfast was also good - standard bread, preserves, juice and coffee.
Coming off of the GR20 to experience a Corsican village, we would have liked a laundry facility. But let’s face it - there aren’t a lot of choices in Zicavo. So we were happy with what we got. If I could give it 3.5 stars, I would.

Great family run hotel

We stopped randomly at this hotel on a motorcycle tour. Hotel du Tourisme is a family run hotel is Zicavo. The owners are super friendly and we have been treated to a really nice traditional Corsican dinner. The hotel is pretty basic and the there wasn't any choices for the evening meal, but it's great. If you're after something posh keep driving, but if you want to meet some nice people and experience a bit of Corsica then stop and take a look.
