COZY HOTEL BY THE SEA
Relaxed for a week at this hotel with my husband. The hotel left a pleasant experience. Of course, it's not new, it's shabby in places. But everything is clean and comfortable.
The area is large, spacious, very green. There are 2 nice pools on the property. One just outside the main restaurant before leaving for the beach. The second is big and beautiful, between the hulls. Both clean, nice to swim.
Still in the grounds is its spa, outdoor massage, pool bar and its own temple.
The room is spacious, tired but clean. Cleaned well. The water came in on time. The bed was changed three times in eight days. Room: safe, tea and coffee set, minibar, makeup, slippers.
Breakfasts are quite decent: full / delicious. All kinds of eggs, cold/burning dishes, Vienna waffles/pancakes every day. Fruit: bananas, watermelon, melon, papaya, snake fruit (very exotic and very cool!). True, periodically papayas and bananas ran out...
Beach: the hotel grounds with sunbeds are quite spacious, there are many sunbeds, there are always free. The beach itself is wide with light sand. But garbage near the water is present (not in the same amount as Jimbaran, where we were before, but there is). Drive is also more transparent than Jimbaran. There are hardly any waves. Swimming is pretty comfortable. But sometimes the algae come in (not critically). And sometimes there's very little tide and water.
Location: The location of the hotel is good. There's a promenade all along Sanur. And there are lots of cafes, restaurants, shops all over the promenade. Walking is interesting and eating is affordable and delicious. Especially loved the nearest cafe to the hotel: the cafe is unspectacular, simple tables among the trees, but the serving and taste - restaurant, and prices are reasonable. The main shopping mall Icon Bali can be reached by the promenade. If you leave the hotel through the reception, within 5-7 minutes walk all the necessary infrastructure: cafes / restaurants / bars / pharmacies / shops / markets.
Useful: hotel deposit - optional.

We left after 1 night of 6
Pros - Staff are friendly and attentive.
Cons - Resort is tired, run down and grotty, no hot water for shower.
Linen grey and smells musty, towels threadbare, pool lounges filthy, the whole experience was so disappointing we left after 1 night and booked another hotel.
We've stayed at 3 different Mercure hotels recently and it feels like no money has been put into this place in a very long time.
Cons - Resort is tired, run down and grotty, no hot water for shower.
Linen grey and smells musty, towels threadbare, pool lounges filthy, the whole experience was so disappointing we left after 1 night and booked another hotel.
We've stayed at 3 different Mercure hotels recently and it feels like no money has been put into this place in a very long time.

Our Sanur holiday at the Mercure Sanur
Our experience with Mercure Sanur began well before we even arrived. Due to illness, most of our group had to reschedule our trip, and the reservations team—especially Ms. Nila and Ms. Aras—handled all of the changes with exceptional professionalism and efficiency. A huge thank you to both of them for making what could have been a stressful situation so easy.
Once we arrived, we were even more impressed. One feature worth mentioning is the medical clinic on the property with a doctor on call, which provides great peace of mind and is a real bonus.
The hotel itself is a little oasis. The lush tropical gardens and mature trees create a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere. Having travelled to Bali for more than 25 years, I always look for comfort, outstanding service, and an authentic Balinese feel—and Mercure Sanur delivers on all three.
We stayed in an Executive Suite, which was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. While the property is one of Bali's older hotels, it has been beautifully maintained and has plenty of charm and character.
Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious optionsover to suit every taste. There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance, or you can take a quick five-minute taxi ride to explore even more dining options.
Thank you to everyone at Mercure Sanur for your wonderful hospitality. You've certainly won us over, and this will be our first choice whenever we visit Sanur in the future. We are here for another week what bliss

Stay longer next time
We stayed one night in transit to Nusa Lembongan and could easily have stayed longer.
Resort is traditional Balinese and heard the gamelan on arrival.
Restaurant was nice lovely evening breeze,
Pool areas both nice.
Convenient for shops and massage places.
Access directly on to beach with hotels own loungers no haggling required,
Great yoga place right outside on beach side near the cow with amazing views.
