Great budget base

Excellent central location, short walk from everywhere. The accomodation is basic but it does the job, it's very clearly student halls and the room could have done with a bit of tlc. The bed was clean and comfortable. The towels left a little to be desired. The staff were lovely and helpful, had an issue with drainage in my room and it was fixed within five minutes. A great base for visiting Dublin on a budget.

City Visit to Dublin.

Good stay just what you need from an average accommodation near all the most central bars and not far from the city centre of Dublin. Staff very helpful and rooms ok as well bit confusing the lay out though. Would definitely stay here again if returning to Dublin again.

Not recommended

Despite the quality of building and friendly staff, Kavanagh court suffers from serious mismanagement and poor hygiene.
The room and the unit were full of hair on the ground when I arrived.
The clogged drain of the bathtub led to an awful experience in the first shower. It was crystal clear that no one had cleaned the room before delivering it to me.
Residents are in charge of cleaning the common area, and there is no extra cleaning service or waste removal.
They deliver parcels with 2-3 days delay. A friend of mine sent a book to me via Amazon Prime. While she received the delivery confirmation, I never received the book.
Be careful of the locked doors even when you haven't closed them. Once, it happened to me that I went to Kitchen and my door was locked automatically at 00:30 while the key and my phone were inside the room. I was lucky enough to find someone to help. Otherwise, I should have slept in the Kitchen.
I booked for the gym twice, and when I attended, I found out they didn't give me door access—several requests for a small thing were time-wasting and disappointing.
Internet connection was poor with repetitive disconnections during online meetings. I found a studio flat and moved 12 days sooner than finishing the contract because it was hard to bear.

Modern Spacious Student Residence but Self-Serving

Kavanagh Court is a spacious student residence quite near the center of Dublin. It's equipped with a gym, several common areas, and a nice terrace. On top of that the rooms themselves are quite nice and the kitchen is enjoyable. The booking process is relatively straightforward, pay all up front. However I wish the staff had been more welcoming during my stay. There was little attempt to convey the basic tour of the residence or the nuts and bolts of the place. On top of that there was no communication of when the check out is. While ultimately a nice residence, for the price you are paying (avg. 1000 EUR/month), one would expect a nicer service.

To small bed, no equipment in the kitchen, overpriced

The bed was just 120cm wide.. how zwo normal person should sleep there comfortable on their holidays??
To get one towel they charged 3€ also to leave the luggage in the hotel they charged 5€ per piece..
One Cup for coffee in the kitchen..
Way to expensive for this kind of hotel..
