School trip - must stay!
Fantastic venue for a school trip. The staff could not be more helpful and the food was fantastic. Saved the day and absolutely made our trip! Thank you to Carlos, Fabio and Rosa who served us with a smile.

Never again
Certainly not a 4-star hotel. I would say 2, perhaps, but they charge for 4.
The only positive note was the very convenient location for walking to the center or using public transport. The employees are very friendly and kind, but they do what they can.
The rooms are ugly and run-down. Maintenance by the ownership is almost zero. Signs everywhere, dust everywhere. The breakfast was decent, but it is a shame that the items we ate on Tuesday were also found on Friday (it is not possible to have the same tart for a week; the fresh products like cold cuts or cheese had a nauseating smell, who knows how long they had been there). The terrace on the 5th floor would have great potential if only it were cleaner and more renovated.

We felt the accommodation was a bit overpriced compared to others we’d looked into. Location is a decent 20 minute walk from the nicer historic/cathedral area and further to the port area about 30 mins. Room was ok but the bathroom needed a really good clean with soap/water splashes on the walls and a toilet that didn’t flush very well. Shower cubicle was small meaning water inevitably splashed out onto the bathroom floor. Breakfast was ok with a decent selection but staff were slow to replenish items especially eggs & bacon. Toaster and coffee machines didn’t work too well. Overall the hotel could do with some investment and a good clean in places. One upside was the helpful staff especially the reception staff and especially Franco who gave us lots of great advice. In general Naples is a very dirty city. Everywhere we went the streets a pavements were littered and the graffiti everywhere is sadly a real blight on the city.

In need of a refurbishment.
Rooms are basic and dated as is the lobby area. The fish tank is sad.
Rooms have air conditioning which worked well and kept the rooms (we had 2) at a pleasant temperature. A group of 4 we asked for two twin rooms and were given 301 and 305. Both good size rooms. 301 is towards the rear away from the busy main road and so was quieter. It had a double bed and 2 singles - the singles were not very comfortable, but a family of 4 would find this room acceptable. The shower worked well with some leakage through the wear worn shower door.
Rooms 305 is smaller, but still a good size with a double and single bed. It is on the front of the building overlooking the Via Foria, a busy road. The windows didn’t really open as they had secondary double and triple glazing, this went some way to keeping the noise down, and noise didn’t interrupt sleeping. The bath room is a wet room and though the shower worked well, water didn’t drain away so the floor got very wet.
After spending 1 night in room 305 we were asked to move to 306 to make way for a disabled guest. 306 was smaller again with two single beds, the road noise seemed louder, but again didn’t impact sleeping too much. Again the we didn’t try to open the window. The shower tray seemed to be fitted incorrectly and without a door so again the bathroom floor was covered with water every time we took a shower.
Breakfast was basic self service, bread, fruit, yoghurt, croissants and cakes. Cakes that were less popular were there the next day and the next…
The rooftop terrace is accessible (though the one lift can be slow) at all times, but the rooftop bar wasn’t open every evening. Fridge’s in all rooms failed to keep things cool.
Location for amenities is good the historical centre, the train station and at least one metro station are within a 15-20 minute walk.
Staff at the reception were friendly and helpful.
It’s a fair base from which to explore Naples, not an attraction in itself.

Good stay
Hotel with an excellent location. Good breakfast with excellent cakes. Kind and helpful staff. Comfortable and spacious rooms. The only downside was the bathroom shower, which lacked a door, so it made a lake on the floor.
