Did not feel welcome.
The apartment is on the 4th floor with a lift that needs 10c coins. We carried our luggage up the stairs and rang the bell...repeatedly. No answer. We called the number but the gent who answered wouldn't speak to us, just told us to whatsapp. We had no signal. Husband ran down stairs to find signal but returned unsuccessful. I gained access when another guest left. We then phoned again as reception was empty. We could hear the phone ringing in a room and then answered by the same gent. Eventually a lady came out of the room...visibly displeased we were there. She showed us our room, gave us keys and went back to her room. The room was not the upgraded one we booked. As we had WiFi we immediately whatsapp asking to see her again. No response. We call and again hear it ringing. She reluctantly came out, we could hear the displeasure from the hallway. I showed her my booking re upgraded room. She couldn't have been less I interested. No upgraded room, she gave me 30euros cash refund. We asked about advertised terrace to be given a leaflet about booking it for drinks. You have to buy drinks from them to use it, and book it I advance. Horrible interaction with host.
Again the room was lovely and location great.
I would not recommend purely based on the interaction, or lack of, with the host. We didnt see them again for the rest of our visit. Reception desk never manned. Certainly did not feel like a guest, more of an inconvenience.

Deserving
Highly recommended, clean, comfortable room comfortable bathroom, well furnished and silence.
It remains in the center near the Duomo convenient to turn all the main sites.
Manager extremely available.
Let me recommend the restaurants / trattorias , of 5 I used 4, all worthy.
Go there.

Fabulous for regular travellers.
This is one of those fabulous places you don’t want to let others know about just in case you go back and the price has risen!
Fabulous rooms with a small fridge, your own bathroom and balcony.
A coffee shop in the next street open early pre tours for coffee and a croissant.
It’s within easy walking distance (900m) of both the main train station (albeit a little uphill), 500m from the underground cave tour and the Duomo is in the street next door!
Daniella was also the kindest host who let us check in early after our flight.
For a regular traveller, who is looking for a great night’s sleep in a busy city (quiet because it’s a street back from the action) this is a great place,
It’s on level 4 so bring your 10c for the elevator.
It’s on the left if you’re going uphill and the right downhill. Street is adjacent to Duomo which is a main street but so quiet.
