Deviant & disgusting!!

What a shithole !!!!!
Eckel has really set new standards here. The hotel is so deviant, you just can't get so drunk. The bathroom was only held together by the mould, the curtains were torn down. the water in the shower did not run off, it stank of tipping, everything stuck, was dusty, dirty and just disgusting. And the place cost 119€ !!!.
Take a big turn around this hotel. -Different. There is neither an email address nor a valid phone number. I realize why...NEVER AGAIN!!!

Party crash pad only.

If you are looking for a crash pad whilst partying on the reeperbahn then look no further, the room is slap bang in the middle of all the action. If however you are not out until 5 in the morning partying, I would suggest you look elsewhere! As the music from below didn’t stop until around 5am and I’m not talking a distant bass beat, it was full on, can hear every note sung! During these hours it was a constant 75 decibels (recorded by my Apple device) so that’s the equivalent of somebody vacuuming in your bedroom whilst you’re trying to sleep…
The room is small, the bathroom was adequate with a good shower, the heating was adjustable. I found the bed comfortable although the sheet was very old looking but clean and you only get one pillow but I guess we could of asked for another one. Cleanliness was adequate.

Bad hygiene

When arriving, we were told that the hotel "front desk" was placed inside a bar. (Loud music, many people. A bit Inappropriate considering the need for genuine service such as personal requests etc.
Got inside the entry point. Looked like the back of the bar.
Walked 3 flights of stairs. No elevator. Hope you have decent physics.
There were pictures on the door the the room and above the bed. It was sexually offensive and distasteful.
There was not enough towels, half a roll of toiletpaper and NO handsope.
Wasn't very clean either.
Went down to go out. Asked for handsope. We were told it would be brought up within an hour.
Got back from going out 5 hrs. Later, still no handsope.
Checked out (threw the key in a hole as we were told)
And wanted to tell the owners about the experience but no one was at the hotel except for cleaners who said it would be more than an hour for them to come back.

Cheap and Cheerful - Good for lads break

We booked a four man dorm and a six man dorm for our stay in Hamburg. The four man dorm had private bathroom and six man had a shared dorm, decent sized rooms, bunkbeds and wardrobes. Not many plug sockets in my room and all located in one place, non near the beds etc.
Shared bathroom was ok, shower and toilet are basic, bring your own towel!
Great location on the reeperbahn but very seedy outside at night.
Ideal for a lads trip to Hamburg.

Four walls and a roof

Well located in the middle of the Reeperbahn and close to the metro (same tube line all the way to the airport, about 30/40mins all in travel time).
Dorms are reasonably clean with towels and secure places to leave things (still wouldn't leave valuables in the locked rooms).
The shower facilities need cleaning desperately and beware, you CANNOT pay by card when you turn up, we were asked for 650EUR cash.
All in all, fair place to stay given location.
