The facility is located extremely well - Lot's of shopping and restaurant opportunities within walking distance and several parking houses nearby.
The staff was really accommodative and helpful in all matters.
I will for sure revisit this hotel!

Another wonderful stay at the Renaissance Hamburg Hotel

I have stayed several times at this wonderful hotel, since 2017 and have been happy on each occasion; that is why I keep returning. I have visited again this year for a long week-end (a 3-nights stay) and everything (from A to Z) was perfect this time, too. Hamburg is a great city to visit and can be easily explored on foot. The Renaissance hotel is very well located, right in the downtown, near the Jungfernstieg S-Bahn station (but I have used it only for my airport trips). The hotel is located in a historical building and the rooms are nicely decorated with themes inspired by the city of Hamburg. Loved this! Being a member of Marriott Bonvoy program and a loyal guest of the hotel, I was upgraded towards a Superior room, which was very large, comfortable and well-equipped. The quality of the bed and the linen was exceptional and I slept perfectly. The breakfast at the Bricks restaurant was absolutely delicious, with a lavish selection of food and beverages. Tip: try the Eggs Benedict, prepared on order. The hotel personnel were so friendly and professional, I really appreciated. I would like to express my warmest gratitude to Ms. Theresa S., the Front Office Manager, for taking into account all my preferences and for arranging such a pleasant stay for me. I totally recommend this hotel, it is really a solid choice. Will be back soon!

Mostly fine

Decent hotel. Nicely located in prime area and within a shopping district. Pretty standard Marriott rooms with slightly less standard service. We were hoping, given our Marriott status, and promise of early check in (subject to availability) we'd be prioritised. So we arrived a little early and were told to come back in two hours when our room would likely be ready (as they had now prepped housekeeping we had arrived). Sadly, this was not the case so had to wait another 45 mins. I then got snapped at by the barman for asking for some ice on the way up because he was "busy making drinks".

the best of the best

Great location, amazing spacious rooms, clean, modern showers, bed was so comfy, incredible breakfast and the travel cot was basically a huge full sized crib with a fitted sheet and complimentary teddy bear. Can I move in?
