I don’t understand the bad reviews! I had a small room but it was just me and it was all that I needed. The breakfast was great for something that’s complimentary. Would stay here again. Don’t stay here if you expect to stay in a generic modern hotel, this one has character and charm :)

Not recommended.
A small hotel that could be improved. We could not move into the first room due to insect infestation. It was exchanged. The hotel is in very poor condition. Mold in the bathroom and a drain that does not function properly. One stood in 10 cm of water. There was a lot of dust everywhere. The bed was sagging. The outdoor area of the garden is a disgrace. Once and never again.

My wife and I had booked the Hotel Galleria from 05.07. to 08.07.2025 to use it for overnight stays of the concert of IL Divo.
First we get on the 05.07. allocated the room 1 which has not been cleaned for a long time (see pictures).
When asked to get another clean room we received the answer “it’s all occupied”.
We couldn't do anything more about it and made ourselves a nice evening at the Isar and in a Bavarian restaurant.
After returning to the “hotel”, we then showered and found a heavy contamination of the shower system there as well (see pictures).
The next morning we went to breakfast.
First of all from the ground floor a few steps down to the basement, which was only illuminated by lamps due to the lack of daylight. Arriving in the “dining room”, the room was rotten and dark due to the abundance of all guests in the hotel.
My wife went to a basement window which was darkened by curtains, pulled it aside and opened the window to get at least a bit of oxygen and daylight.
A staff member saw this and went screaming at my wife, “The window remains closed because of the flies out there.” We tried to tell the Lord in a quiet normal communicative way that we needed the fresh air in the small locked room “the window remains closed because there are many flies coming in” in a loud and unfriendly roar.
My wife and I, faced with such a threatening situation and the unkindness, decided to leave the cellar vault and not have breakfast there.
We went upstairs to our room. A short time later the lady of the house came and showed us a room which we could move into for our room 1, which was heavily polluted (but we did not inspect this room) and said that we can still eat breakfast until 10.00am.
When asked, because there were hardly any other guests in the basement, if we could open the window, the situation escalated.
The lady then yelled at me, my wife left the hall where the whole thing took place and went to our room 1.
I tried to question in my calm manner in English why the lady of the house now has to yell at me in such a way, whether the whole thing could not be regulated in a calm and quiet tone, but it escalated further and louder in Asian, in tried English and tried German.
The lady threw the sheets she had pulled off in another room on the floor out of sheer awkwardness of the situation and pinched at me.
When I asked about the immediate checkout and reimbursement of 2 unused nights, totaling 196.20 euros, at the “Hotel Galleria”, she referred me very unkindly and loudly to the organizer Booking.com.
My wife and I have never experienced such a hotel, further even such hosts.
We have arranged the immediate checkout around 10.00am on Sunday the 06.07.2025 and stayed in another hotel, invoice is available.
This hotel has style, the staff are all friendly and accommodating, it has a Greek restaurant and is really clean!
We are still in the process of having the costs of not using the “Galleria Hotel” reimbursed by the tour operator.

Staff was extra-helpful and anxious to make my stay enjoyable. The hotel’s location near the Tiergarten is charming (though one must understand that the center city isa a U-Bahn ride away) A very nice experience.

Not recommended, were disappointed
Very small room and super small bathroom where you can not wash at the mini sink without hitting your head. There's mold in the shower.
The heating was just painted with paint-- looks bad ! For a hotel a very sad state of affairs. Breakfast was ok.
On the day of departure we wanted to pay cash and then got the message that the price had already been booked via the credit card! Without prior agreement, I find this rather outrageous.
We cannot recommend this accommodation !!!
