Lovely people, great value.

A wonderfully friendly hotel in a quiet spot near all the action in Thamel. Great value too. The staff we met were charming throughout our two-week stay - in particular Sabin, Rashila, Salina, Osmin and Dipesh - despite having to deal with tired trekkers who come and go at all hours.
We were lucky enough to be there during Tihar when the town was alive with carnival floats, music, dancing and fireworks. The carnival set off from the bottom of the lane leading to the hotel so we were immersed in the whole thing. Terrific, unforgettable fun!
The hotel does a good breakfast and a nice dinner on the pretty patio, though sadly not many used it as there are so many other eateries within walking distance.
The shower was hot and the wi-fi very fast, with routers everywhere. No idea about the television. Who wants to watch TV when there's so much else to see?
Thank you for looking after us so well. If we go back to Kathmandu the Cottage Resort will be top of our list.

Peaceful oasis in the heart of Thamel

Beautiful peaceful hotel in the heart of Thamel. Clean and spacious rooms overlooking the garden. There was an issue with the booking process when we arrived but the staff resolved it amicably and everything was great after that. The manager and all staff are great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Already more than 4 visits to this hotel, the last one in April 2024.

Comfortable hotel, great location, quiet, helpful staff, good food...Experience in rooms for 3 people at the front, for 2 at the back, on the 1st, on the ground floor...always comfortable beds , kettle, tea... Pleasant little garden, parking... Possibility of leaving a bag for the return from the trek.

A haven of peace

A wonderful peaceful haven in busy Thamel. A good location to explore Kathmandu and enjoy Thamel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. Garden a welcome patch of colour and green. Have visited twice and I would happily go again.

Stay here!

Such a cozy quiet place in the centre of Thamel. Stayed for over a week and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff are lovely, and the bedrooms are super cozy and have everything you need. If your looking for a place to stay in Thamel look no further!
