Brilliant
A really nice hotel, very clean with friendly staff. Great selection of food for breakfast with an À la carte menu for dinner. Ideal central location to explore the city by foot. Brilliant value for money as breakfast and dinner was included in the price along with sweet cake option from 15:00. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. We were fortunate to have a veranda on the 8th floor.

Home, Sweet Home Away From Home
Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and very quiet, despite being on the second floor street-front and directly across from a construction site. No noise issues at all. Black-out curtains made it easy to sleep in (despite the 4 a.m. summer sunrise).
The lobby area has plenty of comfy seating, which includes a delightful little library and reading nook, as well as a coffee service. We were always greeted by the cheerful folk at the reception (who double as bar-tenders). The bar-style seating at the front of the hotel made a perfect perch while waiting (for people, or transportation).
The basement gym is one of the better hotel gyms I've seen, with aerobic equipment, weight machines, racks of free weights, and enough floor space for yoga.
The breakfast buffet was generous; featuring hot (English) and cold (Continental meats and cheeses, as well as Nordic salmon and herring) options, fruit, yoghurt, fresh bread, coffee, tea, fresh juice, smoothies and more. Fresh pastries are provided late afternoon. The room price also includes a buffet dinner, making this a very homey hotel indeed.
All these perks make Home Hotel Bastion a great base for several days in Oslo. It is easy walking distance of the central train station and iconic opera house, and just a few blocks from the #12 tram over to Aker Brygge, where you can visit the National Museum, the Nobel Peace Center, and the sprawling Akershus fortress (military museum and Norwegian Resistance Museum), or catch a ferry to the Bygdøy Peninsula museums and beaches.

Newly renovated hotel with afternoon coffee and dinner included
The hotel is very centrally located in Oslo, within easy distance of Oslo S and Bjørvika. The hotel has included both breakfast, afternoon coffee and dinner in the evening. Positive and pleasant service, both in reception and kitchen.
Bastion is not too large, has an informal, pleasant tone and is truly a home until I get home. Having used the hotel over time, now it appears with new colors, fresher and brighter. The hotel has very different rooms, be clear when booking what you want. Currently it is being built new on other sides of the road, if you want to sleep long ask for rooms away from the street.

Loved the warm wool leather
The room was clean and fit large in addition it was easy to check in. Renovation is underway but there was no problem with it. I think it went fine. I was satisfied with the dinner that was served in the kitchen have they done a good job it was filled up with things that were eaten. I was especially pleased with the shower with the large shower head and good pressure of hot water that came out quickly. But what I liked most of all was the fabulous wool leather that was laid as a bed mat at the end of the bed. For a fantastic invention to buy in this wool rug to the room it was just absolutely lovely to wrap into.

The place is very convenient.,center located, the room are very clean and comfortable, we only stayed one night, but i stayed in stavanger norway the same name chain hotel with half board. I am pleased with the hotel room, we booked three rooms, they are pretty happy about.
