Very good hotel!
In the center. Very good room. Very good breakfast. Free tea and coffee in the lobby.

We are glad that you had a nice stay with us, that you liked the room and that our central location was convenient. It is good to hear that you enjoyed the breakfast and the free tea/coffee in the lobby.
The hotel has different bed sizes depending on room types. Our standard queen rooms have 140 cm wide beds, while our standard double rooms have 160 or 180 cm wide beds. Please do not hesitate to ask for a large bed, and we will do our best to fulfill this.
Unfortunately the hotel does not have its own parking, but Spektrum P-hus is located in the neighbouring building.

Beds are not comfortable, rooms are very noisy but the breakfast is really good. Its located over a bar unfortunately.
There are a lot of junkies outside this area which roam around whole night and make noise and rooms are very noisy so don't imagine being in quite European atmosphere

We are sorry that the hotel is not situated in the best area of town. Unfortunately there is not much we can do about this, but we are continously trying our best to improve the surroundings directly outside of the hotel for our guests.
The area around the hotel is busy both in the daytime and evenings/nights, so some noise can unfortunately occur here. We have quite many rooms towards the back yard, where it is more quiet. Please do not hesitate to ask for one of these rooms, and we will do our best to fulfill this. We are sorry for the inconvenience this caused you!
I see that you booked a standard queen room this time. These beds are smaller than in our standard double rooms, and can feel more uncomfortable.However, all our beds are from a well known supplier, and specifically made for hotels to suit most people possible. Should you require a larger bed, we would advise you to book a standard double room.
We are sorry that we were not able to meet your expectations to your stay this time, but still hope to be able to welome you back to Thon Hotels on another occasion.

All staff encountered were friendly. No head board on bed and behind mattress was dirty. Biggest issue is noise. Right below the from there is a rock bar that played loud music till 3:30 am, on web site it warned about noise from building work. This shoukd be mentioned too. Even without ear plugs you could hear music. Air con is also poor . Oslo is nice but this area of city is very rough, with lots of drugs and homeless nearby

Good location and delicious breakfast
Hotel is well located close to Oslo Central Station. Nice breakfast with lots of choice. Good compact room with lovely beds, bathroom also everything in order.
Ask for a room on the inside so no street side so you don't lose sleep over the night noise because is in an entertainment district.

Excellent place to stay with amazing breakfast
Very well situated a short walk from the main railway station, with tram and metro stops nearby. It's a welcoming hotel, the rooms are clean and well-equipped and the breakfast buffet is absolutely wonderful with an almost unlimited choice of food. We had rooms at the back which were very quiet and the comfortable bed made the nights very peaceful.
The hotel is a short walk to Groneland, one of the few multicultural districts of Oslo so there are fewer tourists, cheaper food and drink (but this is Norway so drink is expensive wherever you go) and a fascinating variety of eating places - traditional Norwegian, Turkish, Eritrean, Indian, African etc. There are also two decent bars next to the hotel and many others, including craft ale bars, within a ten minute walk. But the other parts of Oslo are easily reached too where you can shop for luxuries and eat at lovely but very expensive restaurants! And, of course, visit the amazing range of museums and galleries (Oslo Card recommended). For hikers, metro line 1 goes from Groneland to Vetakollen, Holmenkollen and Frognersteren for nice walks and great views of the city.
Would happily recommend the Thon Spectrum as a good place to stay.
