Definitely recommend great place to stay
Very nice spacious clean apartment, manger very nice it has everything you need. Would definitely recommend great price, stayed just for one night we popped over from turkey to visit family lots of bars and restaurants close by, the people are amazing so helpful and friendly

False photos from their other properties. No stove, no kitchen sink and faucet, no laundry. Such a waste of money. False and misleading pictures and descriptions.

The Emerald Dream House is truly one-of-a-kind, an unforgettable gem nestled in the heart of Old Rhodes Town. From the moment you step into the neighborhood, you feel like you’ve been transported to another century. There’s something magical about the cobblestone streets, the timeless charm, and the quiet rhythm of the area, and the Emerald Dream House captures it all perfectly.
The accommodations were just as impressive as the setting. The rooms are spacious, thoughtfully decorated, and deeply aligned with the historic aesthetic of Old Rhodes Town, while still offering all the modern comforts you’d want. The rooftop deck was a major highlight, peaceful, scenic, and the perfect place to unwind.
My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay. Everything from the ambiance to the service exceeded our expectations. We would 100% recommend the Emerald Dream House to anyone visiting the area, and we would absolutely return if the future calls for it.
Highly recommend, it’s a place that stays with you.

Anything but a DREAM House.
Anything but a DREAM House.
The photographs on booking.com are far from the actual reality of this property and in our opinion, dishonest.
Finding the property was not easy but John, the host, was helpful and met us to guide us there. There is no actual parking in the old town and parking can be difficult close to the location. If driving, you would need to find somewhere to park, then walk with your suitcases to the property. This is about a 10-minute walk across cobbled and uneven surfaces and for people with walking disabilities or health issues could be challenging, so take this into consideration when booking. John was kind enough to take one of our suitcases to the property on his scooter which was a great help.
The location is ideal for the old town being in the heart of it. It is well located to get to all areas of the town and is close to bars and restaurants. Rhodes town is well worth a visit. Be aware it can be very busy especially when the cruise ships are in and as expected at weekends. There is plenty to see and explore so make sure you give the Old Town the time it deserves.
The property is tired and in need of refurbishment. Yes, it is in the old part of Rhodes town but to describe it as a Dream house is far from accurate. The front door is difficult to open and sticks to the floor. (Mentioned in a previous review). Our overall opinion of this property is ‘grubby’. The decorating is questionable.
On entering the property there was a musty smell as if the property has not been aired for some time. We chose not to use the clothes cupboard as on opening it there was a musty smell.
In one of the kitchen cupboards, I drew the letter ‘M’ in the dust. The kettle was old and dirty, so we didn’t use it. The kitchen cupboards were old and the brackets rusty and dirty. There were two cups, one was cracked, and the cutlery and the crockery/pots and pans were limited.
The electric fuse board, although in a cupboard, was exposed, thankfully there was no need to go near it.
Our overall assessment of this property is that we were very disappointed. The decorating is poor and as mentioned the entire furniture needs updating. We fully appreciate that any review is subjective, we have however travelled extensively, and this must rate as one of the poorest properties visited.

Quirky apartment in the south end of old town
The host is a lovely man who went out of his way for us. He helped us get to and from the taxi with cases with his moped, as it's a bit of a walk over cobbles to get outside the city walls to a taxi.
The property is actually 2 apartments, one downstairs with a full kitchen but no outside part, one upstairs where we stayed with a space to sit outside the door with a table and two chairs and an awning which was very nice. There's a sink outside for dishes.
The upstairs apartment is reached via outside spiral staircase so it's probably not suitable if you have any mobility issues and should book the downstairs one.
There's 2 bedrooms upstairs, both with good aircon. The bathroom is reached through the second bedroom so maybe better for children. Good firm mattress.
There's a roof terrace with great views which is shared with both apartments which is reached via a metal staircase. There's 2 tables and 3 chairs up there so it could maybe do with a few more seats. I was initially worried about the lack of lighting on the stairs and roof for night time but as we were asked not to be up there at night (neighbours would complain) it turned out not to be a problem.
The area is great, there's a truly wonderful coffee shop and a mini market just around the corner which opens until 11pm. Lots of great restaurants nearby also.
