Quiet, slightly out of town, clean

A nice hotel with a great view. The room I got is clean and has a good shower. There is a TV in the room, a cupboard, table, chair and single bed.
The hotelier was friendly but spoke no English. Luckily my very basic Slovak was fine.
The hotel is a long walk to the old town (4km) but there are regular buses (number 203). If you have poor mobility bear in mind the hotel is on a steep hill.
There is a restaurant in the hotel, it looks nice but I am vegetarian so without speaking better Slovak I can't risk it.
The room comes with a tiny bar of soap for washing, but no refreshments.
Overall, quite good but a could easily be better. Recommended for travellers who don't mind hills but hate too much noise or busy environments.

Nice hotel near the Bratislava Forest.

Pension Zlata Noha is a traditional pension located on the hillside near the Bratislava Forest.
Our room was spacious and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is a comfortable walk to the old city and to the forest but the 203 trolley bus can take you to either and to Bratislava Castle from a nearby stop.
The owner is very friendly and helpful.
Recommended.

Amazing location

The best part of this hotel is the location. It is not situated exactly in the city center but a bit outside of the city in a hilly area. Thought it is just 10 minutes bus ride from the presidential palace. Our room was clean and has a balcony with great panoramic view of the city. The staffs can not speak English very well and they seemed a bit unorganized though they tried to be cooperative as much as possible. My overall experience was good.

Ripoff

We're a band and had a concert in Bratislava, so we stayed for two nights. It was paid for by the club we played at, but we had a guest with us who paid for herself.
She got ripped off by paying 96€ for two nights - sharing a room with the drummer, whose room was already paid for.
The receptionist was very rude and didn't speak English.
The rooms were not bad, but not great. The whole experience was terrible. Not going back.

Nice stay

Me and my brother booked a room 5 minutes earlier that we arrived here at 9pm and it was no problem. We stayed only one night, without breakfast. Room was perfect, everything was ok, except the boss or receptionist who didn't know much english..we had to speak also Slovenian that we could translate to him what we wanted. Except that, everything was ok. Specially the view at the city at night, I loved it.
