Great hotel; terrific staff

Great hotel. Very clean and comfortable rooms, as well as a really cool lobby with a great vibe. We had a very nice stay there, for a week, and the staff was terrific. Particularly Emily, Kaina and Angelica. They take the time to listen — not everyone does that these days — and helped resolve the issue we had, which had nothing to do with Aloft, but rather with booking.com. Their concern was genuine and their communication was perfect. I would recommend this hotel whenever you're in Brooklyn.

It's designed in the art pop style so it's a bit dated in 2026. Because of the style and small size of the rooms, it did not have a cozy or inviting feel. It seemed fairly clean but there was a hair on a fresh towel. I paid a reasonable price for the stay. I had a fine time, but would likely not return.

This was a great space for a quick trip. The rooms were clean, medium sized and the front desk was very hospitable.

I loved everything about the hotel, cool vibe, clean rooms etc... but the breakfast that was included was awful...I was given a voucher to go to the Sheraton next door and the whole experience is pretty bad...On the menu...white bread, ultra processed and chemical bagels, cereals (ok), yogurt (ok)...Coffee (ok)...brocoli and dumplings from 2 nights ago..(who wants dumplings and brocoli for breakfast)....turkey sausage patties that were greyish.....a few apples...melon, boiled eggs and scrambled eggs that looked kinda tired... ...all this in a bad ambiance, TV playing etc...

Stressful Stay That Could Have Been Prevented

I stayed at this hotel during my Fourth of July trip, and unfortunately my experience was disappointing.
On my first night, I noticed itchy bed sheets, small black spots, what appeared to be a bug, and a rust-colored stain on the bedding. I immediately took photos and brought them to the front desk. To the hotel's credit, the staff promptly moved me to another room, which I appreciated.
However, the experience had already caused a great deal of stress, and the replacement room had its own issue: the thermostat was not working properly. While the room was still comfortable enough to sleep in, it was another maintenance problem that should have been addressed before guests arrived.
I understand that problems can happen in any hotel, and I appreciate that the front desk responded quickly when I reported the first room. My frustration is that these issues could likely have been prevented through more thorough room inspections and routine maintenance. Also "The overnight front desk employee told me the manager would be available the following morning. When I returned, I was informed it was actually the manager's day off, so I was unable to speak with anyone in management before checking out. That added to an already frustrating experience."
I hope the hotel improves its housekeeping and maintenance procedures so future guests do not have a similar experience.

Finding those spots and the stain on your bedding falls well short of the standard we hold ourselves to, and I'm glad our team was able to move you to a new room right away. I also want to let you know we had pest control inspect the room immediately after, and the report came back negative, so we hope that offers some peace of mind. I'm sorry as well that the replacement room had a thermostat issue, and especially that you weren't able to reach a manager before checking out, that gap in communication is on us, and I'll be addressing it directly with our front desk and housekeeping teams to make sure inspections and maintenance checks catch these issues before guests arrive.
