Great location to where we wanted to be which was close to the ferries that take us to the Statue of Liberty! Plenty of food options close to the hotel, even an English pub right next door.

Excellent location for a Manhattan Centric visit, nice neighborhood, but rooms are very small and old not mantained, AC wasn’t working well, elevators took way too long. For the price, an upgrade of facilities is expected

This hotel is ideally located for people wanting to visit the Statue of Liberty, financial district or Brooklyn. Free use of luggage storage with a mix of really helpful staff and slow staff.
The major problem with this hotel is the lack of lifts / elevators. There are two full floor lifts and one which stops on some floors but all are very small - 4 people and we ended up using the stairs because we had waited 20 mins to get to reception to check out - not easy with luggage.
I arrived in reception and explained our lateness to be told “that’s ok” but honestly, it was not ok, we were hot, sweaty and stressed. Not ok at all.
If you have mobility limitations, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Those darn elevators

This hotel is conveniently located near several subway lines and many major tourist attractions. Comfortable bed & pillows. Our shower was extremely narrow, even for NYC. Staff are friendly, especially José Luis.
Breakfast service in the restaurant was slow, despite it being pretty empty.
But the main problem is that the 3 elevators can’t handle the number of guests. It’s 44 stories tall, a long way for the elevators to travel. Typical to have to wait 5-10 minutes before one arrives. There was often a crowd waiting in the relatively small lobby for an elevator. Another pesky thing: in at least one of them, when you press the button for your floor, it doesn’t light up. So everyone is crossing their fingers.

The staff at this hotel is amazing, friendly & helpful, & they’re hapoy to keep you in delicious cookies. There are 44 floors and only 3 elevators, be prepared to wait. The corridors are very narrow, and you can hear everything on hour floor. Avoid the attached restaurant, foid is less than average, and they will try to take advantage of guests.
