A fantastic discovery - highly recommended. SUPER PRICE
Premise: it is not Manhattan.
We are in Queens, referring to the base of Central Park, to the right, past Roosevelt Island, slightly more to the right.
Small 9-story hotel run by an Asian family.
In the vicinity, 300 to 400 meters away, there are 3 subway stops; the main one you will use the most is Queensboro Plaza (lines 7, N, W), while from the airport you will arrive at the Queens Plaza subway stop, line E - blue). You can reach, for example, Times Square in 15 minutes.
The first impression upon approaching the entrance was not positive, but after a few moments, the feelings quickly became entirely positive.
To say, ONLY POSITIVE THINGS.

Very thorough cleaning of all areas; our room (inevitably with carpet in NY) was spacious (23 sqm) and located on the ninth floor, with a wide view of the skyline.
Linen change and room tidying every day.
An excellent BUFFET BREAKFAST INCLUDED on-site, in their room on the -1 floor, very varied with both savory and sweet options, fresh fruit, Nutella, peanut butter, maple syrup, all of the highest quality.
Additionally, there is a 24-hour option to refill water and drink non-alcoholic beverages.
The staff is very kind and willing to listen and resolve any requests.
A shuttle service (for a fee) to the airport is also available.
On the day of departure, they offer to keep the luggage in custody, completely free of charge.
Unlike many hotels, even though they ask for a copy of the credit card, they did not charge ANYTHING as a deposit for guarantee.
Highly RECOMMENDED!

Excellent stay
Beautiful hotel in a perfect location, managed by an Asian family, the Lic Plaza offers a price-quality ratio that I doubt can be found in NY right now,
A few steps away are the main subways that take you to Times Square in 10 minutes, to Central Park in 10 minutes, and to Roosevelt Island in 5 minutes, perfect for reaching the
Flushing or Coney Island. The spacious room is above all always clean and is perfect for a couple; we were on the 5th floor with a decent view of the Queensboro Bridge. A coffee machine, fridge, and microwave allow you to have something brought by Uber Eats and eat it in the room, even though the hotel makes the breakfast room available to do so, with hot and cold water and coffee always available. Affordable and above all with a precise and fast transfer service, compared to many other hotels, 70 dollars is the amount requested from JFK. Breakfast is included and is the slightly discordant note because it is repetitive, but still perfect for starting the day, and let's be honest, for the price you pay, it's great to have it. I highly recommend it, and if I were to return to NY, I would definitely come back here, provided they maintain these prices. To conclude, I would like to point out that we stayed from July 7th to the 16th and paid 1380 euros with breakfast; a few days earlier we had gone for a weekend in Diano Marina and spent 220 euros with breakfast. Compared to.... It costs slightly less than in Liguria, but we are in NY

Did the job very nicely for a 1 night stay. Brilliant location to the subway which will get you into Manhattan in about 20 minutes, and the free breakfast with a a decent selection of hot foods was a bonus.

The room was clean, but there were many ticks in the entrance area to the hotel and it is not safe for smokers to smoke in that area. I'm also hotel gold and they didn't have the detail of the bottle of wine they said they had with Gold customers. It is well located and you clean the rooms.

Overall, it wasn’t acceptable stay. Nothing incredible, but the room was clean and it appeared to have been renovated sometime recently. The only drawback was the beds were hard as a board which made sleeping very uncomfortable. We will probably not return simply because of that.
