Lovely beachfront hotel
I stayed for 4 nights with a friend during the heatwave in June, thank god the hotel room had air con. The king size beds were lovely and comfy, large TV, bathroom with a bath and shower over, I would have preferred a walk in shower than clambering in and out of the bath. The room was overlooking the area at the back of the hotel onto the lanes, we couldn't keep the window open at night as it was quite noisy, there's a large restaurant yards from the hotel back entrance, the view was very nice.
The hotel is busy with conferences during the week so the breakfast was usually quite busy, the food was excellent, serve yourself both traditional English breakfast and continental, there was also an omelette chef every morning.
We used the pool one afternoon, it was ok but could do with updating, I wanted to book a massage but as this isn't run by the hotel I couldn't book on the day as there were no appointments available so if you're wanting a massage or beauty treatment you might be disappointed.
The hotel staff are very good, housekeeping was excellent, reception staff always available and very helpful, our bathroom sink was blocked and it was dealt with as soon as we reported it, they booked us a taxi to the station on the day we checked out, so 10/10 for great customer service.
The hotel is perfectly situated for visiting all of Brightons many attractions, the royal pavilion is literally a 5 minute walk, we didn't use the bar or the restaurant at lunch or dinner so I can't comment on them.
Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay and I would definitely book here again.

The Best Birthday Gift Ever.....thank you!
We booked in this hotel to celebrate my 50th and our 25th wedding anniversary. The day before we had a lovely phone call from Jerome to wish us a wonderful stay and to inform us that he had been able to upgrade our rooms. What a wonderful surprise! This made our holiday so special. The sea view was a real bonus especially as the weather wasn't that great. On arrival we met Casey who was so helpful and welcoming. In our room we had a gift of wine and chocolates waiting to celebrate our special occasion. The room was immaculately clean with really lovely toiletries (The White Company). The tea and coffee making facilities were exceptional with a separate coffee machine and pods which we really appreciated. The room also had a fridge which was very useful. The bed was large and comfortable and considering we were on the seafront there was no noise. The location is amazing! right on the front near the lanes, so near to all the shops and seafront. The breakfast is a buffet and has a lot of choice, although my daughter was disappointed not to see pancakes....Despite this we all found something we liked. The staff at breakfast were attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. the only thing i didnt like about the hotel was the air freshener by the lift area! The smell to me was just overwhelming and unnecessary....made me feel a bit sick! sorry not a fan. Everything else exceptional thank you I will be returning

Super friendly staff and gorgeous rooms!
My brother and I absolutely loved our stay at the hotel. It’s always such a treat! Aga made us feel particularly welcome at the restaurant! Always a friendly smile!

Wonderful stay
We stayed for one night to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a wonderful experience. Before our stay, I asked if it would be possible to have a breakfast table by the window. While the hotel explained they don't allocate specific tables at breakfast, which is completely understandable, they more than made up for it in other ways.
Jerome, Jake, and Annie went above and beyond to make our stay extra special by upgrading us to a beautiful sea view room. On the morning of my birthday, Jerome surprised me with a thoughtful gift, which was such a kind gesture. He also took the time to check in with us before and after our stay to make sure everything was perfect.
The exceptional customer service really made my birthday memorable, and we felt genuinely well looked after. We would definitely stay here again—and not just for my birthday! Highly recommended.

Well worth a visit.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Brighton. The hotel is well located on the seafront and easy to reach from the railway station. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent - dinner and breakfast.
