Feels like a hug from your favorite eccentric aunt

What a spectacular place! Thoughtfully designed with art and color for a truly unique space. Great location just a short walk from all the great areas of town.
But first, the service. Many employees have worked there 5+ years. Their kindness and attention to detail was impeccable; I felt genuine interest and care from each person I interacted with.
The room was fabulous. Such cool decor. Bed was comfy, linens were dreamy, water was hot. Tea and kettle in the room, hair dryer, etc. It was lovely to open the windows and enjoy a cup of tea while listening to the birds chirp away.
Note there is not a lift so being top floor was a hike BUT with all of the beautiful art, it felt like wandering up a museum. (They did take my bags up, thankfully!!)
Let’s talk about the chefs! The food was delicious. The vegan haggis was so good I wish I’d asked the recipe. Have the breakfast, it’s the best I had in all of Scotland. The dining room is quiet and cozy with lots of natural light. I did not experience the whisky bar but heard lots of laughter and enjoyment from those who did.
As the title indicates, this place feels like you’re going to your favorite eclectic Aunt’s house where she envelopes you in a big hug and you can relax all day on her colorful couch reading and laughing and having a wonderful time. This place is good for the soul.

The room was clean and well equipped. Art everywhere - stayed overnight and I had to leave early by 7am and even though the breakfast wasn't until 8am, the staff member sorted me out with a lovely breakfast and great coffee. Top service!

Now that I’ve stayed here, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else In Edinburgh!

From the minute you walk in you know you are somewhere special. Quirky, lush, beautiful, homey vibes hit you immediately. I don’t know that I’ve ever had a friendlier staff who was so willing to accommodate anything while maintaining the perfect amount of chattiness and professionalism. The building is stunning. The artwork captivating and fabulous. The breakfast decadent the rooms, roomie, and light with all the quirky touches that are throughout the hotel. I love the plush purple robes and all the little touches that you find everywhere you look. Don’t let the sweeping steep staircase daunt you. Just as with everything else, they happily help you with your bags. The whiskey bar is an added treat. It is filled with every kind of whiskey you can think of and sitting there at night tasting was yet one more delight of this fabulous hotel.

Me and the family loved staying here it’s a really lovely hotel I really loved the art work all around the hotel rooms are beautiful and nice and clean food was great the staff where really friendly and helpful definitely stay there again

A Unique and Amazing Place to stay!!!!

I would like to say that this Hotel is very unique and the staff is amazing. I stayed there for 2 weeks, and it was very comfortable and very convenient for what I needed. I would recommend this Hotel every time.
