Lovely camp site
This is really nice site, very peaceful but only 30 minutes to Edinburgh city centre. The facilities were immaculately kept and the staff so friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing Management & Constant Aircraft Noise
Very disappointed with the customer service and management at Linwater Caravan Park.
What started as simple and polite customer feedback regarding an interaction at reception escalated completely unnecessarily. Rather than listening to concerns professionally, management became defensive and confrontational, which ultimately resulted in our booking being cancelled and us being told we were no longer welcome to return.
As Customers we found the entire way the situation was handled extremely poor and lacking in professionalism. Genuine customer feedback should be listened to, not treated as a problem.
People should also be aware that the site is very noisy due to its location directly beside the runway at Edinburgh Airport, with frequent aircraft noise throughout the day from 6am.
Unfortunately, after our experience, we will not be returning

As we confirmed as a response to your Google Review. I am sorry that you felt dissatisfied with your experience.
Following a complaint regarding an interaction with a member of our reception team, your concerns were escalated internally and addressed promptly. Although the staff member involved did not feel they had acted inappropriately, an apology was nonetheless offered in the interests of good customer service when you contacted us to discuss the matter further.
As owners of a family-run business, I then attempted to contact you directly to better understand the situation, however I was initially unable to reach you. You later called us back and I took time to discuss the incident further, with the intention of establishing the facts surrounding the complaint.
During the conversation, it became apparent that you had not personally been present for the interaction you were raising concerns about. When further clarification was sought regarding the details of the complaint, it was suggested that this amounted to “interrogating” you.
You then advised that you remained dissatisfied and wished to cancel your future booking and receive a full refund. This was agreed without dispute. However, during the course of the call, the tone of the conversation became increasingly aggravated and I therefore confirmed the refund verbally and advised that I would now be ending the call.
At that stage, I considered the matter resolved. However, repeated calls (27 from your number alone) then continued to be made to the business, including from withheld numbers, despite communication having been concluded. When we answered the calls you said, "I can do this all day."
I fully appreciate that misunderstandings can occur and always aim to deal with concerns fairly, professionally and respectfully for all parties involved. Equally, neither I nor my staff should be subjected to aggressive or intimidating communication, and we reserve the right to end contact where we feel this boundary has been crossed.

Amazing
What a lovely place and super friendly staff. The lady on reception was absolutely amazing by letting us park up early and have a walk before moving onto our pitch later as we had arrived earlier than expected. She gave us different routes for nice walks straight from the site.
The facilities are superb. Spotlessly clean and even a kitchen you can use.
The whole site is maintained to the highest standard.
We got a taxi into the city and he was recommended and spot on plus reasonable price.
Reasonably priced site too given the location.
Definitely would be back when next in Edinburgh.

Luxury site near Edinburgh
Spent the last night in Scotland at this great campsite. What a luxury. The toilet block looked beautiful and clean. The camper spots where good. Beautiful lawn. Reception was neat. The spot where we stood was neatly designated. Camping is near Edinburgh and even closer to the airport.

Amazing campsite
A hidden jem just outside edinburgh, great campsite, amazing facilities which were very clean and well kept. Staff were super friendly and willing to help in all ways. We took our caravan with us and it was a great spacious pitch with electricity and tap on pitch, and lovely looking statics and lodges also, and great walks round the campsite area with some stunning views. Only 10 mins drive to Livingston designer outlet. Would highly recommend!! We will be back!!
