Always Delivers - Location and Service
This is our hotel of choice whenever up in Edinburgh. Returned after a few years and, and so great to get that warm welcome and familiar facilities. Its location right in the heart of the old city cannot be bettered. Our room had a great view to the east with Arthur's Seat as a backdrop. The double room was a good size with bath/rainshower, fridge, safe and furnishings along with other complimentaries. The hotel has a gym. pool, sauna, etc which I didn't use this time but I did visit for a massage again. Special mention to Natasha for a great massage, courteous and great advice for my back. The staff at RBCC are the jewel. Everyone from reception to restuarant to chambermaids always courteous, always with a smile and good morning/evening and going out of their way. I have to say breakfast is my passion here and I really go to town and never have to bother with lunch! Everything from porridge - cooked to order exactly as I like - to cooked breakfast, cheeses and cold meats, the sides of salmon, etc, is such a joy. All restaurant staff are hard working and so courteous but special mention to Lilian. Can't wait to return.

Best Place on the Royal Mile
This hotel is outstanding. It’s right on the Royal Mile, making it ideal to drop off purchases, or return for a rest. Service is superb in all areas. The rooms are extremely comfortable for a great night’s sleep and very quiet. High quality products provided in the bathroom. Spa, bar, and restaurant on site. Highly recommend. My stay couldn’t have been nicer. So happy I booked here.

Find somewhere else...you're welcome
Unfortunately, this was the first hotel I have ever had to leave without staying overnight. At £750 per night, I expected a significantly higher standard of accommodation and service. The room’s air conditioning was not working, and when I raised this with the front desk manager, I was told it was not broken. However, I later spoke with two engineers who advised that the issue had apparently been ongoing for several weeks. Communication was also difficult, as the hotel phone was not being answered and one of the lifts was out of service, meaning I had to repeatedly use the stairs to follow up with reception.
After approximately an hour, I was eventually offered another room. However, this room had a sofa bed made up for a family, which was not suitable for our booking. When I folded the sofa bed away, I found sweet wrappers and dust underneath, which was the final deciding factor in checking out. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing, particularly given the room rate. The front desk manager’s handling of the situation was unprofessional and would benefit from further customer service training. I also found it concerning that several staff members I encountered appeared to share negative views about the hotel.

Perfect Royal Mile location
Great hotel for visiting Edinburgh. Staff are incredibly friendly. Itchycoo restaurant served fabulous food and staff were great. Amazed how quiet the room was given the hotel's prime location. Would stay again.

Very Disappointing – Poor Hygiene and Comfort
A truly disappointing experience and nowhere near four-star standards.
The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, with old, worn bedding that made it difficult to sleep. What was even more unacceptable was the housekeeping. Our pajamas were placed on top of our suitcases during cleaning—luggage that had been through airports and public streets. This shows a complete lack of basic hygiene awareness.
We chose this hotel because we trusted the Radisson Blu brand, but the standards of comfort, cleanliness, and professionalism fell far below expectations. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.
